Russia’s Mail.Ru to hold world premiere of Skyforge game Jul 16

MOSCOW, Jul 2 (PRIME) -- Allods Team, a studio of Russian Internet giant Mail.Ru Group, and Obsidian Entertainment, a U.S. role-playing video game developer, will open a global beta version of the Skyforge massively multiplayer online (MMO) game of the AAA class on July 9 with a world premiere on July 16, Mail.Ru Group said Thursday in a statement.

“Users from Russia and the CIS could judge Skyforge already this April, and we are glad that they will be joined by players from all over the world. We succeeded in creating a Russian game of a world level, and figures confirm it: 30% of players from foreign countries, registered on closed beta testing, are citizens of the U.S., 13% from Germany, 8% from France. The first five includes Brazil and Canada,” Oleg Shpilchevsky, head of the game division at Mail.Ru Group,” said.

The companies will launch a new trailer with dynamic scenes by the world premiere.
